Return & Refund Policy – LayerX
Thank you for shopping with LayerX. We deal in sensitive electronic and consumable products such as 3D printers, filaments, resins, and related accessories. Because of the nature of these products, we follow a strict no‑return, replacement‑only policy for defective items.
1. No Return / No Change‑of‑Mind Policy
  • We do not accept returns or cancellations once an order has been shipped or delivered.
  • Orders cannot be returned for reasons such as change of mind, found cheaper elsewhere, incorrect purchase, or incompatibility with your setup.
  • Please review product specifications, compatibility, and your requirements carefully before placing the order.
2. Defective / Damaged Products on Delivery
If you receive a product that is defective, damaged, or not working on arrival, we will support you with a resolution after internal verification and approval.
To raise a defect claim:
  • Contact us within 7 days of delivery at hello@layerx.cc or +91 8180011189 with:
    • Order ID
    • Product name and serial number (if applicable)
    • Clear description of the issue
    • Photos and/or videos showing the defect and outer packaging
  • Our technical team may request additional information, basic troubleshooting steps, or remote diagnostics to verify the issue.
3. Resolution Options (After Approval)
After we verify and approve the defect, LayerX may, at its sole discretion, provide one of the following resolutions:
  • Replacement of the same product or part, subject to stock availability.
  • Repair / service support through us or the brand’s authorized service centre.
  • Store credit or partial refund only if replacement or repair is not possible.
The choice of resolution (replacement, repair, or store credit/refund) will be decided by LayerX based on product type, issue severity, brand warranty terms, and availability.
4. Conditions for Replacement / Resolution
To be eligible for any resolution:
  • The product must be in the same condition as received, with all accessories, cables, manuals, and original box/packaging.
  • Products that are physically damaged, burnt, mishandled, modified, flashed with custom firmware, or used with incompatible power/consumables will not be covered.
  • Any tampering with serial numbers, warranty stickers, or security seals will void eligibility.
  • Consumables like filaments and resins are only covered for manufacturing defects or leakage on delivery, not for performance variations during use.
5. Shipping for Defect Evaluation
  • In some cases, we may ask you to ship the product back to our address for inspection.
  • Shipping instructions will be shared after your defect claim is approved in principle.
  • Products must be securely packed in original or equivalent packaging to avoid transit damage.
  • If the defect is confirmed, we may:
    • Ship the replacement at our cost, or
    • Reimburse reasonable courier charges as store credit (as communicated beforehand).
  • If no manufacturing defect is found, the product may be returned to you on a chargeable shipping basis.
6. Brand Warranty
Many products sold by LayerX are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty. In such cases:
  • Resolution may be provided directly by the brand’s service network as per their warranty terms.
  • We will assist you with contact details and basic coordination, but final approval lies with the manufacturer or their service centre.
7. Non‑Returnable / Non‑Refundable Categories
Without limiting the above, the following are generally non‑returnable and non‑refundable:
  • 3D printers and electronics once opened/installed, except for verified DOA (dead on arrival) or manufacturing defects.
  • Filaments, resins, chemicals, and other consumables once opened, unless damaged or leaked in transit.
  • Clearance, special‑order, or custom‑configured items.
8. Timeframes
  • Defect reporting window: within 7 days of delivery for transit damage, leakage, or DOA.
  • Resolution time: We aim to resolve most approved cases within 7–14 working days, depending on inspection, brand coordination, and logistics.
